Easy filmmaking with Tom Barrance

On-site training for businesses and organisations

Making a film is a great way to tell your story. Video is one of the best ways to record and share your work, train your colleagues, and involve customers and users.

My training will show you how to make better videos with the equipment you already have: smartphones, iPads, still cameras or camcorders. So you’ll be able to use video much more widely, not just on projects where you can afford a professional filmmaker.

But to make good videos, you need to know the essentials of filmmaking. So my practical, hands-on training will take you step-by-step through the skills you need to plan, shoot and edit good short movies.

You’ll learn how to

  • get the shots you need to tell your story
  • film shots that make sense together
  • record interviews or presentations
  • capture, add and adjust sound
  • edit your movie
  • use titles and effects

The course also covers

  • how to plan and organise your filmmaking
  • different ways of telling your story with film
  • making your film as good as it can be
  • the best formats for sharing your movie.
