EOS M3

EOS M3

Canon’s little EOS-M was a great deal at the fire-sale bargain price, but it was way overpriced when it first came out. Finally they’ve brought out a serious replacement, the M3. It’s slightly bigger and heavier than the original. It has better autofocus, a grip, a tilt screen, a higher capacity battery, and more external control dials (you can waste a lot of time working through the touchscreen menus on the old EOS-M). You can now fit the sharp, bright EVF-DC1 electronic viewfinder  to the hotshoe. I tested one recently: it’s a big improvement on its predecessor. It could be a good choice for guerrilla filmmakers, documentary makers, and anyone who wants DSLR quality from a small camera. Full review here.
